J-Term Logo Design Contest
MAKE YOUR MARK ON CAMPUS
Brand the University’s new J-Term Program
Enter your logo designs and make a lasting impression on campus culture.
Students of all majors are welcome to submit their designs for this new part of the Drake experience.
Submit your designs in the drop box outside Meredith Hall 110 by 3pm February 22.
The winning design, as selected by an area professional, will be unveiled at the J-Term Fair February 28 in Parents Hall, where the winner will receive a $50 gift card to the University Bookstore.

Requirements:
- Provide paper copies of work in both portrait and landscape formats set where you deem appropriate for letterhead design.
- You must submit the work in black-and-white, with an additional option for a color design as well.
- No personal identification should appear on your entries. Submit a cover sheet listing your name, phone number and email address with the entry packet. The packet can be clipped together; you can also use a folder or envelope.
Drake University Iowa Debate Events
On Saturday, Dec. 10th, Drake University is hosting the ABC News/Des Moines Register/Republican Party of Iowa Presidential Debate. While student tickets are limited, there are still several ways that students can get involved in this incredible experience.
EXTENDED DEADLINE: Dogtown After Hours Proposal Form
Has your organization ever wanted to plan a large-scale event but didn’t have the funding for it? Your organization can win a $1,000 cash prize to help plan a BIG event in the spring. E-mail jessica.hamilton@drake.edu with any questions. Applications are due to SLC no later than Wednesday, February 1st at 5pm.
Grant a Child’s Holiday Wish
Beginning Monday, November 14, you can be a part of the campus wide 2011 Holiday Wish Program. Here’s how you can get involved:
- Visit the snowman in the Olmsted Center and take a child’s wish from the snowman
- Then take the ornament to the Student Life Center and register it with Gloria Lawless
- Return the wrapped gifts to the SLC office between
Nov 30 and Dec 2
These gifts will be presented to the needy families at a Holiday Party where the kids will enjoy games, crafts, and even Santa Claus!

Come and let us film your brief statement and you’ll get a free dirt cup! We’ll be in Quad Creek Cafe from 4-6pm on Monday, November 21st.
