School of Education Senator

Darbee Farley

Hi everyone! My name is Darbee Farley and I am a Junior majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in Special Education, Reading, and Gifted and Talented. I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan and I will be serving as the Academic Senator for the School of Education for the 31st Session!

I joined Senate to advocate and be a voice for the School of Education. The School of Education has done so much for me in these first two years. The professors and faculty go out of their way to work with and help their students. Since joining Senate, I have already made so many connections and relationships with professors within the school that I would not have before being elected to this position!

Outside of Student Senate, I am involved on-campus as the Director of New Member Education for Alpha Phi as well as Operation Smile and Kappa Delta Pi.

I’m extremely excited to be sitting around the table this year, especially now with the School of Education getting a new building this fall! I am so excited to help make our new home a warm and welcoming place. We cannot wait to show it off this year!
